How to Read and Verify Your ClipAds Campaign Report
A report should let you trace a number back to a publication and a collection time. ClipAds connects placements, creative versions, available metrics, and financial records. Agree the definitions and refresh expectations before launch so missing data is not confused with zero performance.

A view count needs a source, a time and a definition.
Keep public engagement, eligible billing metrics and attributed conversions separate. Their definitions and sources are not interchangeable.
Record the observation
Store the publication identity, metric source, value and collection timestamp. Preserve unavailable values as missing.
Review changes and exceptions
Check large changes, unavailable posts and source errors. Suspected automation requires review; detection cannot prove that every view is human.
Apply the campaign rules
Use the agreed definition of eligible delivery and documented adjustments before treating a record as final for billing.
| Observation | What it establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Snapshot A: 12,000 views; B: 14,000 | The recorded counter rose by 2,000 between collections. | 2,000 new people, purchases or eligible billable views. |
| Metric unavailable | No usable value at that collection time. | Zero views or zero campaign activity. |
| A click or conversion in another tool | An event under that tool's attribution rules. | Proof that a particular video caused the conversion. |
These illustrative counts are not unique reach. Platform definitions, repeat views and audience overlap prevent simple deduplication by addition.
Campaign fit
Separate evidence, metrics, and outcomes
- Publication evidence shows where and when the approved content appeared.
- Platform metrics describe recorded activity under that platform's definitions.
- Sales, installs, and incremental impact require separate attribution evidence.
Evidence and limits
Know what can be checked before launch
ClipAds does not guarantee identical platform metrics, perfect bot detection, or conversion attribution from views alone. The agreed campaign rules determine which evidence supports billing.

FAQ
Questions before campaign review
Are campaign metrics real-time?+
Do not assume real-time updates. Collection cadence and source availability vary; check the last update time and the agreed reporting schedule.
Can I calculate unique reach by adding views?+
No. Views can include repeat activity and overlapping audiences. Unique reach needs an appropriate deduplicated source.
What if a publication disappears?+
Flag its URL and campaign reference for review. The team checks the placement record and applies the agreed exception and accounting rules.
